AFLMWA Ladies Sub Committee

AFL Masters WA have undergone a recruitment process to form a Ladies Sub-Committee to drive the growth of Masters aged Female Football Participants over the next few years, to utilise the exposure from the Perth 2021 National Carnival and to increase the number of in season fixtured games across the State. The Sub Committee believe the intention of growing the female side of AFL Master’s is to increase opportunities for participants to stay engaged in football for longer, allow lost participants to re-engage and to provide opportunities for new participants to engage in a modified type of Australian Rules Football.

WA COVID-19 Travel Update

Western Australia is currently in Phase 4 of the WA Government’s COVID-19 WA roadmap meaning; There is no limit on the number of patrons permitted in a venue, however, the 2 square metre rule and physical distancing apply. At WA’s major sport and entertainment venues, a 50 per cent capacity rule applies. Unseated performances are permitted at venues such as concert halls, live music venues, bars, pubs and nightclubs. As of Saturday, 24 October, the maximum capacity for a seated performance or seated entertainment that is ticketed and takes place in a seated entertainment space is 60 percent.  COVID 19

WA transitions to a controlled interstate border

Western Australia will transition to a controlled interstate border as at 12.01am on Saturday 14 November 2020. People from all Australian states and territories, apart from Victoria and New South Wales, will be able to travel to WA without having to quarantine for 14 days. Visitors will need to meet conditions such as complete a G2G pass, and will be subject to a health screening and temperature check when they arrive at the Perth Airport, and they should be prepared to take a COVID-19 test. Those travelling from New South Wales and Victoria will need to self-quarantine for 14 days
